The Present & the Future.. Am I sleeping or am I awake?

I was watching the Indian news channel on the internet today morning . After an hour of surfing through the various channels , I switched on the television to watch the BBC news. It was about to telecast the 9/11 mourning ceremony from the ground zero. All that I could sum up from all the news that I gathered from these various channels was either of some ongoing tragedy or some past one or an indiaction of one to come in the near or far future.
Oh Cmmon' ! Can't we all see what all is happening in the world today, with the economic crisis ( inflation / deflation) taking the charge of killing peoples dreams of a happier & prosperous life. Taking away their job or filling them up with the fear of losing it soon some day.
Natural calamities in all the parts of the world wether it be USA, India, China, Japan, Cuba or some other countries across the globe. If it is not the nature then there are humans or governments to take the charge to the pending task. We are seeing that with Russia , USA , Iraq & Afganistan.
Everyday we wake up to various news of struggle & hatred & sorrow & pain & devastation. Then we are consoled by listening to the rehabilitation tasks done by some groups of people. Whereas we ourself are scared even to donate something fearing it might go into some greedy unworthy persons pocket or will get drowned in the black-hole of corruption.
Did we ever stop & ask ourself the question as to 'where are we heading to, the way we are going? '
We all our engrossed in our own life, our own sorrows, our own small world. Will we ever wake up to see the broader picture?
I myself , have this realisation every now & then , and then again get back to the sleep of ignorance. After sometime wake up again to this knowledge & try to do something...
The people who bought change have been doing this since ages- Being awake. Standing up for themselves for their dreams, for their friends , for their community, the Nation or the world.
They think it is theirs , it is theirs to take care of.
I feel , waking up again & again is the need of the hour . Can we do something about it?
As someone has said, " It is not worth to die worrying about small petty things, die worrying about big things that matter" .

Time!!

Sitting idle in the middle of the day I was fiddling with my thoughts. Making myself realise that I was there, living the life there , in that situation. It happens sometimes that you are so lost in space & time that you tend to loose control of your being. It was just yesterday , I remember when I used to come from school & sat down chatting with my mum & sisters while we had lunch.

The time passed , as in literally flew , & then I hardly come home at afternoons & hardly had any time to have any lunch. Sans time to spend with family & sans time to realise what was going on around.
It flew & it flew, till it had blown me away with it, when today I am so far away, much farther than to be able to reach back when it pains most to be there.

How did this happen, in my excitement & fun & joy & achievements & growth ? Cannot reckon it even if I today want to.
They say life passes by in a fraction of a second , we don't realise the truth of it,until such feeling of loss grows in the core.
I now see time as, a vast mesmerising swift bird which flies & flies in its own skies. You never know when it is there & when it is gone, till it's so far away that you can actually have a look at it's whole size, but till that time it's way off your reach.
Here it comes....... there it's gone.....

Girls & Happiness!!

A Smile , A Grin, A Heartful Laughter ... Oh, all this is such a Bliss!!

We were all going to a party today, all dressed & shinning we were just entering the venue, WHEN there came a newly discovered prodigy of modern art. With a SPLASH! he made our expensive dresses the canvass for his art. Oh!! Good Heavens, What a perfect timing to display the Master-work.
Then started the shower of swearings by everybody around me. Except for this one girl , who smiled & chose to take this as an opportunity to go home & get dressed, in another one of the two dresses, she had bought from the market today. After all she was getting to wear and show-off both the dresses in the same evening. Wasn't that a good reason for her to be happy?
How Girly?

Girls will be girls- You Bet It!

Girls find the smallest things in every day life as reasons to make themselves happy.
You give them a flower or a chocolate-they'll be happy 'coz they know you love them
You give them a compliment -they'll be happy & will glow more the next time you look at them.
They had a heartful talk with a friend or someone from family- they'll be happy & will keep smiling the whole week for it.
They cook some nice dish-they'll be happy by hearing a line of praise.
They are ditched by a boyfriend- they'll be happy 'coz other one might be better than the first.

You ask How or Why??
They say better now than later, ain't it ! (Happy!)
And if there is something which is not making her happy , she'll find her happiness through the very power of Feminine weapon , THE TEARS !!!
Tears give the most satisfying pleasure of all ! ( You need no testimonials for that, do you?)

Give any situation of war or peace, women find their minds to tune to the frequency of THE CHANNEL HAPPINESS.

During the time when Tsunami struck back in the coastal areas of South India. All the news channels showed the devastating sight of the life ridiculed by nature.
There , in one of such programmes they showed this girl of ten years who was taking care of her own three baby brothers & sister admist the chaos of death & survival. She said I'm happy that I'm still alive to take care of them , even though God took our parents away. They have me & I'm happy that I still have them.

Happiness Rocks & so do the Girls !!
